DESCRIPTION:  This antique tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Sylvania in 1959 time frame is in excellent working condition. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded red plastic No cracks, chips or major scratches. There is some slightr heat warping on top but it's solid. There are abrasions on the bottom. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no touch not over sprayed. The front decorative gold tuning window back is original excellent condition. Original factory grill fabric is in excellent condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

LOGOS: Philco factory gold painted raised letters mostly rubbed off.

KNOBS: Knobs are original, matching and securely attached and faded. The tuning dial works no slipping no sticky spots. Volume gold metal center insert is not missing but tarnished. 

DIAL LIGHT: Dial works and lights up brightly. replaced with modern LED for longer life.

POWER CABLE: The original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. 

CLOCK: No clock

BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board is intact securely attached printing faded.

POWER CORD: Brand new replacement power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABELS: No missing bottom factory labels.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near the kitchen for much of its life.
