DESCRIPTION: Table top clock radio manufactured by General Electric in 1952.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition. Original factory molded swirly marbled burgundy plastic. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No cracks, chips, or major scratches or missing pieces. Clock clear covers are in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no broken attachment tabs. Securely attached. Metal clock and tuning window surrounds are not dented. Clock metal surround has small rust pin pricks.
KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial or clock light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
SPEAKER: 4" speaker.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Has Radio ON/OFF switch in back that works. Has appliance timer i n back which works.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function work and goes off at the correct set times. Wake to buzzer and radio or just radio. Both alarm type functions work. Sleep timer works. No snooze button. Blue-ish clock and tuning faces are in excellent condition. Clock arms and matching tuning pointer are in excellent condition with no rust no discoloration. No rust, runs or streaks. No rust no oxidation trails. All numbers are clear and readable.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Back factory labels are mostly intact.
