DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in 1952 in excellent working condition. Very rare model in a very rare color. This antique radio is evocative of rich looking decorative arts with a golden age flair. Original factory molded light blue color, not painted. No major chips, or scratches on top, front, or sides. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Reception is even better if you hook up an external antenna wire. Cabinet is in excellent condition. There are a few tiny chips on the back edge top. There a few hairline cracks on the back edge. This radio is over 60 years old! The front facade is in excellent condition with no cracks, or major scratches. The clear clock and dial faces are mostly clear with some cloudiness. No cracks or chips or major scratches on clock or tuning clear covers and securely attahced. There are a few scratches around the sleep dial on the clock face. The gold surrounds of both the clock and the dial are in excellent condition no rust or oxidation.  The knobs are in good condition and are securely attached. The little clock set knobs are securely attached. The Firestone logo is intact and good original condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering on the clock or radio tuning bezel. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The tuning indicator translucent green is in good condition a little faint. No dial light but can be added for and additional charge. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Alarm set function works. Alarm works. Clock set works. The clock motor is quiet. No humming buzzing, or grinding noises. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. This vintage radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
