Gumby Green 1952 Zenith Model K622 AM Vintage Vacuum Tube Radio Gorgeous Looking Restoration
DESCRIPTION: This vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1952 is in excellent physical and working condition. This model has all the nice-to-have features offered with this model series: power light, tone control, Bakelite back cover in matching color not cardboard, and alarm and sleep timer. The Bakelite cabinet is a gorgeous factory painted Gumby green color. The bottom front edge area only was over sprayed to conceal chip repair. Near perfect color match and shines like new. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Minor fleabites and paint nicks here and there. All knobs are original and securely attached. The bottom has some overspray on the original label due to repairs. This radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine as designed. No tarnish, oxidation, pitting, or discoloration on metal cosmetic parts. Original volume is securely attached in excellent condition. No missing center gold metal caps on knobs. Original tuning knob is securely attached in excellent condition no slipping. The clear plastic clock and tuning windows are in excellent condition no cracks no yellowing no warping due to age. No dial or clock light not offered with one but can be added. The volume and tone modulate as designed through the entire range smoothly and without crackling. Very loud performer! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. No humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. Clock and alarm set functions work. Sleep timer works. All other clock functions work as originally designed. Bakelite back cover is in excellent condition factory paint with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. The original power cord is excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Original factory labels on bottom some overspray. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
