Deco Black and Gold Beauty 1950 Westinghouse Model H321T5 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Sounds Great Excellent Plus Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM vacuum tube radio alarm manufactured by Westinghouse in 1950 in excellent plus working and physical condition. Tis model is usually found in brown. Black is harder to find.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded black plastic cabinet. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. Not repainted, no touch up not over sprayed. Original factory tweed grill cloth is in excellent condition with no rips, runs, stains or separated edges. The front gold decorative piece is in excellent condition with no cracks, broken or missing bars, no fading or oxidation, and securely attached.
KNOBS: Original matching factory plastic tuning and volume knobs are securely attached. Tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Volume on/off switch is original and securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: Power light indicator works replaced with modern LED for long life and brightness.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition with no cracks or ripped corners. Antenna loop is original and excellent condition securely mounted
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels. Original bottom factory label is in excellent readable condition.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
