Black and Yellow 1959 Travler Model T-204 AM Tube Radio Cute As A Button!

DESCRIPTION: This antique radio was manufactured by Travler as Model T-204 in 1959 time frame. These vintage radio models were usually molded in black or white. Sometimes the grills are factory painted blue, pink or yellow. Yellow is the rarest of the painted grills. A wonderful tabletop tube AM retro radio in excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The cabinet is original shiny black plastic. Absolutely stunning color combo! Original factory painted yellow grill! Not repainted over sprayed or touched up. There is some paint flaking off by the lower left section of the grill. Original factory molded color through and through. No repaints on this antique radio. No touch ups. No over spray. There is a long hairline crack on the top left hand side that has been stabilized on the inside. There is a long rounded chip on the back left edge. I decided to keep the cabinet in original condition and not repair and repaint crack and chip. Iconic tri-star tuning knob is original and securely attached in good condition though there is some paint rubbed off to the bronze tri-star due to normal use. This retro radio is 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. No missing ink. There are no smudges or rub-off on dial lettering. The Trav-ler grill logo is in excellent condition. The kitschy-est of kitsch! The tuning dial works fine. No dial light. Not designed with one. The original power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The antique radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
