Lime Green 1959 Motorola Model 5C14GW Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Beautiful and Rare Color! Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Rare tabletop Tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1959 in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips, major scratches, or missing material. The front part of the cabinet is original factory molded lime green color with npo crack, no chips, no major scratches. Factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No touch up npo over spray. The cabinet back cover is originally a molded factory ivory color. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. None needed. Some light heat cracking inclusions but no melted heat patches. Some yellowing on top and sides due to exposure.
FACTORY LABELS: No missing labels on bottom. The Motorola label is not faded.
LOGOS: Motorola logo is not missing.
KNOBS: The knobs are in excellent condition only slightly yellowed securely attached. No missing clock knobs. Amazing. Original matching factory clear plastoic flap clock function knobs. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.
CLOCK: The clear dial face looks excellent. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. No cracks, warping, major scratched on the clear clock cover. The clock works and keep accurate time no humming no buzzing no ticking or grinding noises. Faint whirring clock motor noise. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CABLE: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
HEAT SHIELD: Heat shield has been fabricated and mounted underneath internally to minimize heat damage.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.
