Harvest Gold 1963 Motorola Model C3S2 Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Near Mint Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Welcome to the early sixties! Harvest gold is the new pink and turquoise. Tabletop tube AM antique radio manufactured by Motorola in excellent+ working and near mint condition. This vintage radio has a late mid century early sixties design look with its vaned prismatic grill and clear trapezoidal bubble clock window. Original factory molded color not painted. No touch up no over spray. None needed. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet and attached pieces are in near mint condition. All clock components work including the alarm. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. This retro radio is over 60 years old! Motorola label on front speaker grill is in excellent condition. The knobs are in excellent condition. The tuning knob and volume knobs are molded in matching golden rod color. There are not many goldenrod colored radios which makes these color matching knobs very rare. No missing metal foil inserts. It is not yellowed ivory. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The clear bezel on this radio is securely attached no cracks or scratches. Mirror glossy and glassy sheen. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. Original factory tube layout diagram label on bottom is in good original condition. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. New stress relief bushing installed to mitigate cord breakage and fatigue at the base interconnect. No exposed wiring. Factory labels in excellent condition. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
