DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM vintage radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1957 in excellent working and physical condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded color not painted. No touch up no over spray. Cabinet white back cover is in excellent condition with no crack, chips, or major scratches. .The front pink grill and clock facade is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. There is no hairline crack on top which is common. The clock clear cover is in excellent condition not cracked or chipped, No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering on the clock or radio tuning bezel. The gold painted clock and tuning internal square surround is thin and missing in areas. The clear bezels are securely attached.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
KNOBS: The original factory matching knobs are in excellent condition. Center gold metal caps are not missing. The little clear clock knobs are original matching and securely attached. Usually some or all of these are missing, flaps broken off, or not matching.
LOGO: mo missing logos.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. This vintage radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board not designed with one.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. Wake to music or buzzer and music. Sleep timer works. Clock time and alarm set time work.
POWER CORD: The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
