DESCRIPTION: Resplendent with golden age of radio deco flair! Popular model back in its day! Beautiful AM tabletop vacuum tube clock radio manufactured by Emerson in the 1951 time frame still in excellent+ working and physical condition. This radio has a nice Art Deco style. Rare clock version of this model series. No cracks, chips, or major scratches! No repairs or repaints of any kind on this vintage radio. None needed. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need for external wire antenna. Original Bakelite cabinet of this antique radio is in glossy condition. The volume and tuning knobs are original matching plastic securely attached. Tuning knob gold painted center is mostly rubbed off. The tuning and volume knobs are in excellent structural condition. This radio is over 70 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. Look at the neat Art Deco-ish type font! No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. Tuning dial clear plastic window is factory original no cracks. No dial light not designed with one. But one can be added for an extra charge. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Clock time and alarm time set functions work. Alarm works and goes off at the correct set time. Sleep timer works. All original factory little clock knobs. Often these go missing especially the center time set little knob. There is only the antenna backing. Most examples from this series have thick cardboard backing boards that go missing over the years. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. Little exposed wiring on the back of the radio. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
