DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Sylvania in 1957 in good condition. This clock radio is a sight to behold! I think it tries to do what Bulova Model 120 has achieved in an upscale 5th Avenue jewelry like design but ends up looking more like Las Vegas. Look at the disco ball front grill! Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in good condition. This is a rare factory molded in pink that has yellowed evenly over the years. There is a hairline crack on top back left corner along the edge that is barely visible. There are small fractures along the top ridge running parallel from the buttons to the right edge. No other cracks, chips, or major scratches. The knobs are in excellent condition and all present, none missing. The front clear panel is clear not yellowing with no cracks or chips. There is oxidation on the back gold trim paint approximately 2" length on the top edge and approximately 2" length on right edge. There are speckles of oxidation along  the gold trim at the front bottom edge as well. The only blemish is the clock face is white paint is flaked off in a section below 12 o'clock. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! There is no dial light. Not originally designed with one. The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The push buttons work as designed and do not pop off. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
