Sienna Brown Bakelite 1946 RCA Victor 66X1 AM Shortwave Tube Radio Excellent Condition Works Great!
DESCRIPTION: Cool mid-century deco styling on this vintage radio. The entire top, sides and back are rounded like an old 40s Greyhound bus. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1940's excellent working and physical condition. Cabinet is original factory glossy brown bakelite. Factory molded color. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. None needed. No cracks, chips, splits, or repairs anywhere on top, sides, or front! The front grill fabric is in excellent condition. No rips, fraying, or discoloration. Front metal fascia is excellent condition securely attached no dents dings or rust slightly tarnished. Knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. Loud as heck. Tone knob works. This radio is over 60 years old! Dial light works and lights up brightly. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. Tuning dial window glass is clear no cracks, no hazing no discoloration. No slipping of tuning dial indicator. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Bottom factory labels are in excellent condition. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
