DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Olympic in 1956 excellent+ cosmetic and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio is over 60 years old! Rare and desirable model from Olympic in late fifties time frame in bright original molded pastel pink. The plastic cabinet is in excellent condition. No repaints no repairs needed. No cracks, chips, melted or missing plastic. There is a small patch on the top center where the heat has turned the plastic a little matte semi-gloss but it's minor. No missing pieces. Original volume and tuning knob. The little clock on/off/alarm and sleep knobs are original and securely attached. The clock is quiet and keeps accurate time. No major clock motor humming, buzzing, or cranking sound. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. No cracks, hazing, tarnishing, rust, or yellowing on dial face. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. No chips, tarnish, or bubbling on the clock fascia plate is evenly tarnished. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The original cable has been re-attached at the back grill and strengthened with a metal clip for stress relief. Cord is in excellent condition with no other splits, cracks, or exposed wiring. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
